Our MMC'89 Initiative spotlights inspiring individuals and organizations creating impact in their communities and around the world. Inspired by the Mickey Mouse Club's iconic 'Hall of Fame Day,' we highlight Entrepreneurs, Community Leaders, Athletes, Writers, Inventors, Entertainers, Business Executives, and Humanitarians.
We also provide grants to organizations in alignment with our philanthropic purpose guided by the 17 Global Goals for a better world by 2030.
Quincy Jones was inducted into our Hall of Fame at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in downtown Los Angeles. He was honored for his incredible contribution to music and philanthropy, where we also supported his nonprofit work.
Emily Lartigue was inducted into our Hall of Fame during one of our Humanitarian Awards ceremonies. She was honored for her work in serving more than 10,000 furloughed and laid off Cast Members with groceries at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.
And we proudly inducted Hall of Fame honorees at Walt Disney World Resort with MMC'89 Be Great! Awards presented by reunited Mouseketeers.
MMC'89 presents: 1st Annual Be Great! Awards
Be Great!'s Bryan Gallinger (Host) with Damon Pampolina (Mouseketeer) present our Hall of Fame honoree Kellen Jackley with our MMC'89 Be Great! Award.
Kellen was a wish child with Give Kids the World Village that provides cost-free vacations to Disney World for critically ill children and their families. Today, Kellen is strong and thriving, and serves as the Child Ambassador for the organization doing extraordinary work to create impact.
Additional Hall of Fame honorees included Pamela Landwirth (CEO, Give Kids The World Village), Jeff Hoffman (Global Entrepreneur, iBids, Priceline.com), and Sir James Dentley (CEO of JD3TV), among others.
The awards ceremony was part of the DIS Family Reunion (now DIS Con). We co-produced numerous activations during a magical and impactful weekend of events supporting Give Kids the World Village.
Below is a recap video highlighting all of our activities at Walt Disney World featuring our 1st Annual Be Great! Awards.
The video also promoted our 2nd Annual Be Great! Awards held in Anaheim, CA during the D23 Fan Expo featuring an historic panel of reunited Mouseketeers. Come on inside!
